WinWordControl Component for Power++

New version who supports Winword 9.0 (Office 2000)

WinWordControl is a "small" component, designed to plug-in in the Power++ component bar. This component allows you to create winword documents, jump to bookmarks, set text in winword and to print the text to a printer.

How to use it

Unzip the zip-file in a temporary directory. The use the "Add-Component" menuitem from Power++ to add it to the "System" components. (You must specify the Install directory)

If you have proceeded correctly, then you will now see this {short description of image} icon on the toolbar.

Actually you will see the properties available in the reference cards, but you will not be able to get online access to the helpfile (Since there is NO helpfile included).

Where to get new versions

Currently we have only one places to download the WinWordControl software.

Get the WinWordControl component at www.neatech.ch (519kB) for Power++ 2.1, including a small demo and the source.

Future of this component

All users who like to add functionality to this module are invited to join in the developpment. If you make enhancements then send the changes back, so others can profit of the enhancements too.

Technical considerations

This component is a wrapper for Winword version 7, 8 and 9 (Office 95/97 and 2000). Perhaps it works back with V6 too...

When using winword 7, then you have to worry about the language of winword. For the PrintTo command, you need to enhance the component, so I knows the correct name of the "printer at port" string. Please report me those back so we can include those with new versions.

The component works under NT, but under W95 it shouldwork too. But this has not been tested yet. If anyone would like to improve this... ASchild@neatech.ch
