I write and maintain a lot of Clipper programs and wanted to connect to the Advantage database engine from Power++. This works fine with a Datawindow but with a query I had a lot of hassle. After much trial and error I discovered the solution was to set cursor type to simulate or simulate as needed in the transaction object properties.
